As President of the EU, Spain is the authority of reference to coordinate the efforts directed at responding to the emergency produced by the earthquake in Haiti. The Catalan Government has offered its contribution to the European efforts through equipment and staff.

The different operating bodies of the Generalitat -Catalan Government- have offered means (more than 40 people) and material in order to collaborate in the tasks of rescue following the earthquake in Haiti.
